Adventures of a 3 year old.

We had a Remax lady come in and give us her opinion on our house. It looks like if we finish the flooring we can get a fairly decent price for it. Now we are at the crossroads of what we want to do. Wait and see if the market goes up more .. or start looking seriously for another place? .. move out of the city? .. There are so many options and we are really not sure what to do. There are so many factors into all of this. All I want is the best for my family.

Harley did really good today at daycare. He used the potty every time he had to go. I was really proud of him. Then Harley used the potty to poop at home this evening. He was really proud of himself. Now he wants to go to the cars movie again. He knew that if he pooped in the potty 5 times on his own he would get to see the movie again. Well that time has now come. So we are likely going to have to somehow get him to that movie again soon. It's currently at the cheap theatre, so it shouldn't be so hard.

.. but just when he was doing so good. He peed his pants at walmart this evening. Well. I guess you can't win them all eh?

Speaking of pants and walmart, I got myself a pair of Pink Floyd "Dark Side of the Moon" pants. I am wearing them right now as I type this. They are yummy comfy.

..smiling with the memories.

Yeah I know.. I know .. another video post.. but hey! There are so many great things on that website can you blame me? Not to mention that I have to take advantage of it while it is here. Not all good things last forever. Remember Audiogalaxy? Man those were the days. So is this video

This was a very infectious song for me in it's day. Hell it still is even this day. Velocity Girl's Simpatico is an awesome album .. and so is Copecetic for that matter.. Hmm .. I think I may have to go out and purchase them. I realize that those are two albums that I don't have in my collection at all. Shit man .. Gil! .. get it together!

Amazing bass.. how sweet the sound.

My favorite bass player, Victor Wooten doing an amazing improv solo. He also kicks into his rendition of Amazing Grace. This is taken from the Bela Fleck and the Flecktones concert that is available on DVD called "Live at the Quick"

video crazy

As you have noticed. My last couple of postings have had some video clips. Now to save myself from posting a video clip every day and drive some people nuts (including myself).. .which still can easily get into the habit of mind you. I decided I will put up a link to my YouTube page. In this world I shall be known as xtcrox On this page you will see my favorites that are listed, an maybe in the future I will upload some Lungbutter stuff or something for all to love and enjoy. That will be dependant upon me ever getting the chance to put it up there.

Ahmad was also telling me that he has a webcam that he could lend me as well.. hmm .. maybe I shoulf try that. Wouldn't that be interesting. Might not be a bad idea... I could possibly get Harley or Talya posted on it or something.. hahaha..

hmmmmmmm......

But .. as with the YouTube website. You can easily get addicted to that page. I have never thought I would find so many interesting things. There is also where I found out that Terry Bozzio playing drums for the Fantomas for a while. WTF!!! .. that was mind blowing. So if you have never been there (which I am sure that you have unless you live in a box) then I highly suggest you go check it out. It is awesome.

sleepless nights

I booked today off from work as a vacation day. It's a good thing that I did. Talya ended up being up all last night keeping us awake. Leanne is sleeping right now and I just got Talya off to bed sleeping again. She is going through a very intense teething stage and what sucks about it right now is that we don't have any Infants tylenol or anbesol to relieve the poor girls pain. I am going to go out first thing this morning when the stores open up. Actually. Now that I am typing this .. talya didn't sleep long at all.. i am listening to her on the baby monitor. She seems in good spirits though, just talking to herself right at the moment and making coocooing sounds.

---

We bought Harley some shoes today. Superman Shoes. He picked them out himself. They were the first ones that he saw.. and that was that .. they were the ones he wanted. It was at that time Leanne and I realized why he always wanted to wear his rubber boots. His old pair was size 8 and now he fits a 10! .. yeesh

..free at last!

Leanne and I went to go see "Lady in the Water" this evening. My mother and sister watched the kids for the evening while we checked out the movie. I love my kids, but it is always nice to get out for a date without them once and a while.

I enjoyed the movie more than I thought I was going to. I thought it was better then Night's last movie "The Village".

The bummer part though was that since Leanne and I kinda had to rush after work to get the kids over to Mom's, we didn't really have any time to actually eat anything. So we had popcorn for supper. .. I highly do not recommend doing that. We felt kinda sick.

snoopin through the floppies

I came across a couple of my old journal entries that I had on a floppy disc. Since this Blog page is pretty much my journal in a way, I thought I would add them to the archives. There are 4 entries from May 31 to June 3rd 2000. You can see in them that I am fairly twitterpatted with my wife. But .. hey can you blame me? Other than changing a couple of things, I pretty much left them as they were. If I come across any other entries .. I will likely post them up here as well.

Amy came over to play this evening. She brought M&M ice cream!! mmmmm mmmm.. Funny thing though. When she came I didn't realize until after I opened the door that I didn't have any pants on.

I hope I didn't get her hopes up ..hahaha

I did have underwear on though.. not like this one time when leanne and I would living in the apartment in uplands. I open the front door to grab the paper, and with the door WIDE OPEN and am going .. ahhhh.. nice day .. hmm .. seems a bit breezy .. I close the door, and then I realized I was still completely stark naked.

I am sure that the neighbours had nightmares that evening.

Well we had an excellent weekend. We all went out to Wendy's parents cottage for the weekend. I can't remember where it is at the moment right now. The name slips my mind .. but if I think if it I will either edit this posting or add it to the comments. As you can see I didn't really put any postings over the weekend because I wasn't around, but I did post the tunes that I was spinning those days. You may be wondering why on some days (like today for example) I didn't post any "listened to" albums. This would be because I didn't listen to anything specific. Like I only either had the music playing randomly, blah blah blah.. you know what I mean..

Anyway .. as I was saying, we went up there on friday evening and came back late sunday evening. The four of us and the kids .. what fun. Here are some of the points I would like to mention that happened over the weekend:

- I had an actual real Smore for the first time.

- On Saturday when we went to Strasborg for fun, some fucker on a truck just barely missed us and nearly hit us head on when driving through Silton.
- We were looking for the tile rummy game and couldn't find it at all, but it magically appeared on the kitchen table on Sunday morning. Messing with all of our heads. None of us put it there. How it got there remains a mystery.
- Bill got me addicted to the War card game. We decided to start playing that because neither of us could really remember the rules of cribbage and we wanted to play something else other than the "Tic Tac Toe" board game that was wearing a little thin"
- I killed my ass sliding down a playground slide in Strasborg not realizing that the bottom of the slide didn't touch the ground while going down.
- Harley ran straight into a light post, exclaiming "I'm ok, Im Alright" and acted like nothing happened
- In the cabin on the wall they had some sort of "mexican fertility" mask artwork that helps couples to have children. Leanne was a little freaked out by it. I am not sure if it is true or not .. but it is interesting to note that I was hornier than I usually was.
- On the way home, I realized that the back door beside Harley was not closed properly and would have swung open if he would have leaned against it. When I pulled over, I could not break fast enough to stop in the corner and nearly drove into the ditch.

So that was the weekend in the nutshell. I am sure I could bore you with other things.. but I have to go. I have an episode of House that Leanne and I have to watch. Can't get enough of that show!

New and Improved!

As you notice my site has had a face lift. If you didn't notice then that is even better because that means that it was worth all the work that I pooted on it.

It interesting how some things fall into place and other things don't. It's those things that don't that make you feel secure and safe but at the same time, ignorant and intelligent. How much so you may ask? Well that is something that I will still have to adventure into and find out for myself at the same time.

I feel like typing but I really don't know what to type about. It is interesting to think that you are reading this right now after the fact that I typed it all out though I am not sure what the next word is going to be. Except for this one.. and the one that I just said before it. See I didn't know at the time but I did when I did it. Get it? It is that whole ignorance intelligent thing that is back into play again.

Ignorance is bliss ... please god let me stay ignorant.

Plain and boring..

I would like to say that there has been pressure for me to change my website and make it "more exciting!!" and more "flashy" with shit ... well I will appologize to those people right now. I am a boring and plain person who likes the simple things in life. What you see is what you get.. so flock off.. I suggest if you would like some more cool fancy rocking sites then check out Megan's (notice .. that is her main website, not her blog page, check the links on the right for her blog page) or Brett's. Those kids are young and limber and have a lot of their life ahead of them still.

Wait a minute .. no I don't appologize .. I take it back. If you don't care for my site then go fuck yourself.

whoa nelly

The last weekend that I had was a total blast. A complete blitzfest. Well .. I guess friday night was anyway. John and Adrienne's wedding was awesome. They had the whole Mexican theme down pat. From the band to the pinata and the mexican food tables inbetween. I have never ate and drank so much in my life. I think I should give them more money in return or another wedding present because I feel like I took advantage of them. Tony, if you could add a comment to this page of how I was that would be good, because some of it I don't remember. HAHAHA. Brett put some pictures up on his blog page if you want to check them out. I don't have a digital camera, and my sister was taking pics with hers so I didnt bother taking any pics. Someday I will have some pics up.
