no time left for yooooooooouuuu..

Sorry, I haven't had much time to type anything .. but here it is.
- came to work for 9 this morning but 4 or so people were outside were waiting for me to open the door. Brass was working the night shift this week. Teeheehee.. oops. Amy was nice enough to come by since she was not working this morning and dropped off some cookies .. mmmm .. cookies. Can't get enough of those things.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to Wax's show last friday night. It didn't work out. I noticed on his website, he had this to say about it.

We played at a wretched dance bar in Regina last night -- Bart's on Broad. What a fucking masterpiece. They had a monsterous PA that wouldn't work but for scratching and popping sounds. We ended up turing the stage monitors out to the crowd and playing quietly to an assortment of supporters and random enemies. The coolest guy in the place got kicked out because he took his shirt off to show his joy. No joy for Bart's.

Yeah .. it sucks ass that I didn't make it to the show.. but .. what the hell .. shit happens.

Death to Jann Arden

Celebrated my sister's bithday a little early today. Went over for cake and ice-cream with the family. mmmm..
Bought my sister the new Jann Arden CD for her birthday. It was like torture. Going to the dentist in the future doesn't seem that bad to me now.

Circus Stripper

Took Harley to the Circus today. We went with Leanne's brother and his family. Unfortunately, the seats were not that good and Harley couldn't really see anything so he got a little impatient and was not really enjoying the show that much. Top that with the fact that Leanne was nauseous and not feeling so well. So we left the show a little early and missed probably the last half hour. However we did see this girl doing a hoolahoop show, hanging from a rope with a hoop on fire and everything. If I had money, I would have hired this girl for my strip club. It would be the talk of the town.

Be Strong for bath time

What the hell was with Ryan Adams on Letterman last night?

Holy Shit. Take a bath, shave and get a haircut. I thought I was watching Deliverence.

A police officer sent this to me. It is not for the faint of heart. If you have a weak stomach, then don't look at this link. It is a picture of the demise of a suicide jumper taken shortly after he landed. It shows him with his insides now on the outside. You will see the look of horror on the faces of the bystanders. The faces of the bystanders is why I believe this is real...

The Line Is Drawn

I saw a commercial for a reality show that completely disgusted me. It is a competition to become the new lead singer of INXS. I think it was called Rockstar .. or INXS: Superstar or something like that. I find it completely disrespectful to Michael Hutchence. That is almost as bad as that one reality show where couples compete to adopt a teenage girl's child. .. Christ.

But I admit there is one the does sort of interest me. I think it is called "One More Time"?? Where old has been performers compete for a chance for stardom again. It is pretty pathetic, but I admit I am interested to see some of them perform again. Some of the performers that are going to be in it are:
Wang Chung
A Flock of Seagulls
Vanilla Ice
The Motels
But that is all I can remember at the moment.

But the new singer of INXS??.. come on guys.. at least have some fucking respect and don't call yourself INXS anymore.

Kill CSI Fiction, Jackie. .. Ya Dog.

Leanne and I finally got a chance to watch the CSI season finale episode that was directed by Quentin Tarantino. We enjoyed it. Hell .. if they release it on DVD I might even get it! Our friend Wendy said she hated the ending... now I wouldn't let her tell me anything at the time because I didn't want to spoil it for myself. But now I think she is smoking crack. I have to find out why she hated the ending.. all she said was that it was "Kill Bill" put to CSI.. Bullshit. The only thing that was "Kill Bill" about it was that Nick Stokes was buried alive. That's it. I will have to say that is probably a personal favorite CSI that I have ever seen.

Damn Anakin cracked my tooth

Well .. saw Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith last night.(early today) And I enjoyed it the most compared to the other 2. I can't say I like it better than the other series though. Comparing the first trilogy with the second trilogy is like comparing yogurt and pudding. Not possible, they are different products and both of them have their pros and cons. They have to be looked at different points of view. Like comparing older Rush albums to newer Rush albums.. .. actually you can probably break those into 3 generations of Rush now .. but then again I am getting into something else entirely there.

I can definitely see why they gave this one a higher rating then the other movies. It's not as "child friendly".

Man .. I guess I am going to get my act together and get me to a dentist. I was eating popcorn and I realized that I was chewing on a rather hard kernel of popcorn. Crap .. there goes another tooth.

Kevin Smith did an interesting review on the movie. I like his quote:

...this flick is so satisfyingly tragic, you'll think you're watching "Othello" or "Hamlet".

You can read his review on it here. But be warned. It contains spoilers. With me it didn't matter reading it because I can't remember anything I have read after a couple of minutes

The wind has power that you don't know!

Kyle recorded Wax Mannequin's interview on Muchmusic's Going Coastal just a little while back. He gave the disc to Harley's babysitter to give to me to watch. I watched it right away giggilling like a little schoolgirl on christmas morning throughout the whole interview. I was sooooooooooooo excited. Wax was coloring on all of his money with a sharpie throughout the interview. I thought it was great. I spoke with Kyle a little later about it .. and I guess it is not his cup of tea. He didn't seem to care for Wax to much. Ah not to worry. I will transform him in time. *** insert evil maniacal laugh here ***

I am really interested to see how Wax's show will unfold at Bart's on Broad on the 27th. Kyle is not going to make it to the show because he is playing in Moose Jaw that same evening. That is too bad, because I would of had him going to the show... Well.. I probably would of had to convince him that Wax Mannequin was band project of Jeff Keith's or somethin' like that.. but I would of had him going. And then by that time it would have been too late. He would have been taken in by the power. ** snicker snicker **

whatta bawgin!!!

Went to a Garage Sale today. They had a special going on where you grab a box, grab as much as you can that will fit in the box and take it home for 5 bucks. Sweet Deal. We got toys, videos, and some other garbage that we can sell at our own garage sell. Will be making a profit out of this hopefully.
So I shoved a 40" projector screen in the box too. Hell .. can't go wrong. Now I need something to project on to it.

Wendy was over for dinner. Ahmad also called just while we were finishing dinner and wanted to know what we were up to. So he came over with 4 colors of play doh. After Harley went to bed, we each had a color of playdoh and made stuff.. it was fun.

Playdoh highlights
Leanne made a dinosaur
Wendy made a .. hmm .. I can't think of what she made .. I remember she was seeing how long she could make one piece of playdoh
Ahmad made a skull and a car.
We all contributed to making a hot dog.
I think the only successful thing I made was water for leanne's "Bessie" .. oh oh oh .. right .. I made a little earth..

.. I had the whole world in my hands!

Burnin' Rubber

Ahmad, Steve and I went to the bank since it was payday (.. actually I should say transfer day) today. We went by Ahmad's bank first. Steve and I sat there and waited for a little while when Ahmad came back and said.. 'Well you guys better go to the your bank because they messed up my bank card and I have to go to the teller' .. nice. But the fun thing was that we took Ahmad's car.

So I bagged the bitch to the bank and back, When we got back Ahmad hopped in the back seat. It was weird to bag his car while he was in the back seat. That would be almost as bad as.. 'Hey I would like you to meet my wife/girlfriend, Feel free to take her home and fuck the living shit out of her.. in fact.. when you are done feel free to come back over to our house and ram her on the couch as I sit back at watch from lay-z-boy'

.. hmm I wonder if Ahmad would trust me with his girlfriend..

Shopping Car

Got Up early in the morning, As usual and watched the SNL that we recorded from last night. System Of A Down was on promoting their new album. I enjoyed the performances and Leanne couldn't wait for it to be over... hahaha.

Leanne went to work for today, so Harley and I stayed at home, played ball and reeked havoc in the house. Later in the day we went Grocery shopping with his Grandma and Auntie and he got to ride in he favorite Shopping Car. And I do mean Car.. not Cart. One of those carts that look like a Car. He can't get enough of it. And I can't blame him.. I envy the little bastard. We never had anything like that when we were kids.

Leanne also got lilies from Harley and I for Mothers Day.

Early Mothers Day and Wax Mannequin

So I sort of celebrated "Mothers Day" for my wife today since she has to work on the Sunday (tomorrow). I took her (and Harley of course) along with my mom and sister out for breakfast for Mothers Day festivities. She also open the gifts that she received from Harley and I. Harley made her a "Bath salt Parfait" (with thanks to Wendy.. She stole him last night to do it.. ) And I got her a copy of Bee Gees - Spirits Having Flown. Which she was wanting for a long time, and wanted it even more since we watched A Bee Gees documentary a while back. And A DVD set of old horror flicks. Can't get enough of those crappy movies.. We were both still quite illin' so when we got back from breakfast so all we really did for the afternoon was listen to the Bee Gee's and Innocence Mission (in hopes to knock out Harley.. and succeeded) and then went to sleep for the majority of the afternoon. Wendy came over to entertain Harley as "a gift" to Leanne to let her rest a little more since we were both illin. She then stayed over for dinner, we went to DQ for a mothers day Ice Cream.

Oh yeah.. I almost forgot.. I ran to the library to return some DVDs as well and I talked to Tyler Banadyga for a bit. He was telling me about a couple of shows that he will be playing at to give me a heads up with. One of them will be with WAX MANNEQUIN (yayyy!!!) at The Art Project Gallery this Tuesday evening. So I am definitely going to try to get my ass there. I was planning to go there to See Jana's Art up close and personal anyway.. so this shall be plans for a terrific evening. The other show he mentioned will be on May 18th at the Exchange. He will be opening for some guy named Harkness (I think that is the name). He mentioned he never actually heard him but he supposedly dresses up like some space man. Could be entertaining. And you know .. it is somewhat appropriate because I think that will be the same evening that I will be going to Star Wars .. but I am not sure. I wonder If I can do both.

For the evening we watched Finding Neverland. We all were fairly disappointed in the movie. My sister and mom were saying they really enjoyed it when they saw it in the theatre. Personally I think they are on crack.

Star Toilet

New Star Wars movie is coming that much closer. Actually I am kind of excited about this one. Will be goin to the midnight showing of the premiere night of the 18th?? I think it is? I am not sure .. I am going to have to double check the date. It will be pretty sweet. that is for sure. I am going to be going with a couple of guys from work.. er correct that .. One guy from work. The other one however used to work with me but I guess it was to "the companies best interest" that his job was ... how would you say .. Ah screw the technical term. They canned him. And unfortunately we will probably never find out why they did. Bullshit happens everywhere. Sometimes closer than I desire it to.

Leanne is sicker than a dog now. Lucky her got what I had a couple of days ago. I am still not feeling that well. But the worst of it is over. Harley has also been sniffily. So this weekend will probably not be to active. We were thinking of taking in an art show tonight, but I guess that depends on whether or not Leanne is up for it. We are also supposed to go to the farm tomorrow, but time will tell on that one as well I guess.

I have come to the realization that there is nothing that annoys me more than a toilet that doesn't flush properly.

I guess I wouldn't care as much if I wasn't so full of shit all the time.

Have a good weekend everyone.

Well I am not sick no more .. but unfortunately I did not get a chance to put anything in. But I just wanted to let everyone know that I am fine and dandy!

New to my blogs!! the albums that I listened to during the day or evening... like you would really care. Red is for Home, Blue is from my desk at work, and in the future I will have two other colors one for The Car (which will be a while since I never put the stereo in the car yet) and another one for other... like a friends house or somthing like that.. but I never put that much thought into it yet. Another weekend has come and gone

So I am not feeling good right now today, as soon as I get home. I think I am going to go to bed. Sorry Jana. I will have to cancel the coffee tonight. I am not doing so good. ... oh .. and my bum says hello ..

so here is my weekend in point form. It is ether the cold that is going around work .. or I may elaborate on these later .. or I may not .. I guess that will depend on the time.

Friday Night: Watch Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events. Pleasantly surprised by the movie and quite enjoyed it.

Saturday: Stayed at home with Harley while Leanne went to work. Wendy and Maria came by to visit. Went to Kyle's "Laid-off" party and had a "sausage party" in the hot-tub with Parlor Trixx.. Oh Whatta night!!

Sunday: Went for breakfast to Grainfields with Herman & Bonnie. Bonnie bought me a Spongebob Squarepants T-shirt. Which Kicks ass! They also got Leanne these cute little flower pots and Harley a Spongebob Ball. He loves it. He slept with it that afternoon. Leanne and I then roasted a chicken for dinner. Wendy came over and hung out with lilly while I went with Ahmad to Barts last night to "rock out" with Parlor Trixx. They do an "Acoustic" set there every few weeks. I guess I am getting old.

I like the acoustic stuff more. Why? Because I am an old fuck
