bye bye kindeling

I cancelled my subscription to the newspaper today. We haven't been reading it and thought it would be a couple of extra bucks in my pocket.
It's funny how that when you do something like that, how offended the rep on the other end can get. "Why are you canceling?", "Would you like a weekend subscription only?".. Like what's it to you? .. can't you just let me cancel it without giving me 20 questions? Yeesh.

I found out the weekend subscription wasn't even a dollar less. Hmmm .. don't think so Charlie Brown.

20 some years ago

I have been going though some of my video tapes. I am debating to tossing them all, but before that I am going to go through them, keep the ones that have any "home movies" on them and start transfering some of the stuff on to DVD. The ZPZ show that I saw (see this date) got me to look through my old video tapes and find the old episodes of "Normal Life" that I have recorded.

- was watching some footage of Hema's 16th birthday party. Wow that's over 20 years ago already. Antique footage.

leftovers

It was nice to sleep in a bit this morning. And I am happy I didn't go to that movie last night. Even though I know it will be fantastic.. but my day will come. No worries.

Dallas and I took the leftover stuff from the Garage Sale to VV today. We must have done ok though because after taking a van stuffed of just my stuff to his house, we didn't fill the van nearly as much with both his and my stuff.

That is the thing about Garage Sales.. at least with me. You end up likely spending more money, then what you sell. We bought a desk for Harley for his room, he just loves it. Now he wants a computer to put on it. Too bad I didn't think of that before I just got rid of the old motherboard at the garage sale, I could of had that setup for him to break ... darn.

My friend Figgy just called me to go see "District 9" with him for 10:30 tonight. Since I had quite a week of late nights the last week, I was planning on hitting the sack right after this blog post, so I turned it down. I am such a jerk.

I am sure it would have been a fine movie though. Sorry Figgy

We finished up the garage sale today and Leanne went to a farewell bbq from a Fabricland workmates. I tried to clean the house, but I got stuck transferring old Look People footage from video tape to DVD, while the kids watched Zathura for the umpteeth time. Man.. The Look People were good times.

Man I love Indian food!...but It sure doesn't love me. Well .... I guess I should correct myself. It doesn't make me feel sick, it's just what is comin' out of my butt now is making the others around me sick.

Going to continue with our Garage sale now.. hopefully Dallas is not experiencing the same thing otherwise it's gonna be nuclear bumfare this afternoon.

We are in the middle of doing a garage sale with Dallas and Lynnai. So far I think we have spent more then made, but the good thing is at least we are getting rid of a bunch of stuff out of the house that I haven't been using anyway.

Katamari

- went and saw Wax Mannequin. This show introduced me to two new artists who I never heard before. Julia McDougall and Depravity Brown.
- Julia and her Piano caught me by total surprise. She had an incredible voice, I recommend everyone to check her out now.

Ahmad found a copy of 'we love Katamari' for Playstation 2 I am so excited to have a copy of the game finally. I somehow feel strangly complete with my game collection now because of it. Well.. that is if you don't include PS3. I would love to have Little Big Planet. But so far that is the only game that interests for that system, other than the obvious reason that its a blue-ray player. But I don't have enought time to enjoy the toys that I have now. So I am not going to go down that road and purchase one of those at this point of my life.
